Match Report by St@tto

Sloppy defending cost Harriers dear as they were forced to fight back from a two-goal half-time deficit.

Showing two changes from the team that drew with Grimsby at the weekend - Jake Green and Tahvon Campbell coming in for Kelvin Langmead and Andre Wright - Harriers were lively from the start and soon on the offensive.

Despite dominating possession, though, Harriers couldn't break down their hosts; the best chance fell to Reece Styche who couldn't direct his header goalwards after good work on the left wing by the impressive Adam Dawson.

Six minutes before the break Dover took the lead when former Harrier Jamie Grimes was allowed to head in after Harriers had failed to deal with Nick Deverdics' cross.  Shortly afterwards the home team could have increased their lead when Ricky Miller was allowed to run into the penalty area but dragged his shot wide.

Dawson forced a good save from Mitch Walker before the break after having turned Sam Magri inside-out on the wing and cutting inside to make room for his shot.  In stoppage time, though, Dover doubled their lead when Harriers again couldn't clear, this time from Ricky Modeste's cross, and Miller volleyed home past Dean Snedker.

Just before the hour mark things could have got even worse for Harriers when Grimes got up at the far post from a right wing corner but headed against the woodwork and then Richard Orlu headed the follow-up straight at Snedker.

Shortly afterwards Harriers took advantage of this let off when they were awarded a free-kick 22 yards out; man-of-the-match Dawson took the kick and curled it around the outside of the wall and inside Walker's left-hand post to record his first goal for the club.

With twenty minutes remaining Harriers drew level; just ninety seconds after coming onto the field to make his debut Gurjit Singh despatched a low shot from outside the penalty area into the bottom corner of the net.

Harriers continued to press looking for a winner but were caught out eight minutes from the end when Stefan Payne headed into the roof of the net from Modeste's cross from the left.
