Match Report by St@tto

Kyle Storer's strike five minutes before the break was enough to maintain Harriers' 100% home record.

With seven points from their first three games Harriers have their best start to a season since 1990, but this time around are still to concede a goal.  They are, in fact, the only team left in the Conference who have yet to concede.

Gary Whild named an unchanged side from the one that beat Alfreton in midweek and they continued from where they left off going at Dartford like an express train in the early stages.

In the first ten minutes an exchange of passes between Storer and Kevin Nicholson ended with the latter crossing for Jack Byrne who headed across the face of goal and then a Craig Reid snap shot was pushed onto, and over, the bar by visiting keeper Jason Brown.

Reid had the ball in the back of the net on 13 minutes but his effort was ruled out for offside as the visitors struggled to get out of their own half.  Harriers dominated possession but failed to capitalise on it; after 27 minutes a strong run by Marvin Johnson on the left, leaving Nathan Collier for dead, created another chance for Byrne but he again headed wide.

When Dartford did eventually threaten just past the half-hour, when Harriers failed to clear a corner, Jared Hodgkiss was on hand to clear Rory McAuley's header off the line.

Five minutes before the interval Harriers broke the deadlock; Storer's pass picked out Johnson on the left wing, he carried the ball forward before returning it to Storer who had continued his run and he despatched a low shot from nearly 25 yards out beyond Brown.  Leading scorer Chey Dunkley could have doubled the advantage before the break but he headed wide.

After the break Harriers continued to dominate the game; Nathan Blissett headed wide from a glorious deep cross by Kevin Nicholson and then just short of the hour headed against the crossbar from a Johnson cross.

Dartford began to get a foothold in the game as time wore on but the Harriers defence stood firm and once again Danny Lewis didn't have a save to make.

Late on the hard-working Reid had the ball in the net again after a pass from Jamie Grimes but once more he was denied by the linesman's flag.
