Match Report by St@tto

Two goals in as many second-half minutes gave Harriers victory and kept alive their hopes of sneaking into the play-offs.

With two games left to play Harriers are now just three points off a place in the play-offs and finish the season at Halifax, one of their rivals for the end-of-season shoot-out.

Unchanged from the side that had beaten Cambridge in midweek Harriers started brightly and took the lead after just five minutes; Michael Gash getting to the byline on the right before pulling the ball back to the far post where a completely unmarked Amari'i Bell was on hand to fire in his second goal in as many games.

Hyde fought back, though, and played in a manner that didn't befit their position at the bottom of the table.  In search of their first home win of the season they tested Danny Lewis on 18 minutes with a free-kick from Jordan Clark that beat the wall but was straight at the keeper.

Regan Walker had a good chance after 33 minutes but his shot was deflected away at the near post for a corner.  From that corner Harriers failed to clear their lines properly and Adam Blakeman fired a low shot through the crowded penalty area to level the scores.  Adam Thurston whistled another shot just past the post as Hyde looked to take the lead just before the break.

Shortly after the interval Gash fired a shot from distance just over the bar after being set up by Callum Gittings.  Midway through the half Amari Morgan-Smith fired straight at home keeper Chris Kettings after Hyde failed to clear a corner.

On 74 minutes Harriers regained the lead; Morgan-Smith found Adrian Cieslewicz on the right who broke into the penalty area before crossing to the far post where Gash took the ball round the keeper and fired home despite the efforts of Thurston on the line.

Just 100 seconds later Harriers made the game safe; Morgan-Smith chased a long ball that Kettings kicked against him, allowing him to take the ball around the keeper and roll into the empty net.  Late on Harriers should have increased their lead further but Josh O'Keefe hesitated for too long before shooting after being set up by a glorious pass from Cieslewicz, allowing Rhys Day to clear.
