Match Report by St@tto

A crazy end to the game saw victory snatched away from Harriers and both teams have a man sent off.

A dour match that could have gone either way looked set to award three points to Harriers in an away game for the first time since October thanks to Callum Gittings' first half strike but deep in stoppage time Kyle Storer handled on the goalline, for which he was dismissed.  Charlie Sheringham despatched the spot kick after a fracas in which City's Angus MacDonald also saw red.

City had opened the game the brighter of the two sides and had missed a couple of good opportunities, let down by poor finishing.  At the other end Anthony Malbon's shot warmed the hands of James Bittner before Harriers took the lead.  Ten minutes before the break Danny Lewis's long clearance was headed on by Michael Gash to Gittings who fired past Bittner from just outside the penalty area.

Just short of the hour mark Harriers wasted a good chance to double their lead when Amari Morgan-Smith headed over at the far post from Storer's free-kick.  Danny Jackman came on as a sub 15 minutes from the end but had to leave the game through injury reducing the Harriers to ten men.

City pressed for an equaliser and were rewarded in the fifth minute of time added on with the penalty.  The point gained for Harriers was enough to make them mathematically safe from relegation but at the same time the two points dropped meant that is now mathematically impossible for them to win the league.
