Match Report by St@tto

An excellent second-half performance saw Harriers come from behind to beat Forest Green at Aggborough

Somewhat inevitably it was former Harrier Matt Barnes-Homer who gave the visitors the lead after just five minutes scoring from close range after Harriers failed to clear when Nathan Vaughan could only parry Danny Wright's shot.

Steve Burr had made changes to the side that had drawn at Chester in the previous game bringing in Joe Lolley and Nathan Blissett for Marvin Johnson and Anthony Malbon but the changes didn't immediately improve the performance in a frenetic but scrappy first half.  Harriers leveled the scores just six minutes after going behind, skipper Kyle Storer heading in Callum Gittings' corner.

After the break Harriers stepped up a gear and after a couple of good chances that fell to Lolley they took the lead on 64 minutes when Jack Byrne volleyed in his first of the season after a knock-down by Amari Morgan-Smith.

Rovers' night started to fall apart shortly afterwards when Al Bangura was sent-off for a bad challenge on Storer.  Morgan-Smith increased Harriers' lead on 71 minutes with a curling shot from the edge of the penalty area that Sam Russell could only watch helplessly as it flew past him.

Harriers increased their lead further with two minutes left; Morgan-Smith scoring from the penalty spot after George Pilkington had handled.  The drama was not over yet, though, as deep into stoppage time James Dance and Aaran Racine were sent off following a scuffle.
