Two goals in the last ten minutes, as well as a controversial injury time penalty saw Nuneaton come from behind to beat Harriers.

Harriers made several changes to the side with Jack Byrne, Danny Jackman and Dior Angus all coming in for their first starts of the season and got off to a flying start with Anthony Malbon's first goal of the season after five minutes, a well-struck shot that arced into the top corner of the James Belshaw's goal.

The home team, like Chester at the weekend, set out to make life difficult for Harriers closing them down and harrying them, stopping them from playing the flowing football that they wanted.  Byrne and Angus had shots saved by Belshaw early on as Harriers looked to build on their lead but the home side went close, too, with first skipper Kyle Storer and then Lee Vaughan denying them with goal-line clearances midway through the half.

After the break goalscoring opportunities were thin on the ground although Andrew Brown - heading over at the far post from Daniel Sleath's left-wing cross - and Byrne, who dragged his shot wide after being put in by Michael Gash both could have added to the score.  With time running out and Harriers looking set to hold on for a narrow win Louis Moult popped up to level the scores with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area after Harriers were slow to clear..

Into time added on Storer was adjudged to have handled the ball - a shot from distance hit him - in the penalty area, referee Lee Swabey having no hesitation in awarding the spot kick.  Danny Lewis saved James Armson's shot but the loose ball hit Mickey Demetriou and dropped back into the goalmouth where it was bundled in by kick-taker Armson.
