Match Report by St@tto

Harriers came from behind to record their sixth home win in a row and their first league double over Tamworth since the 1977/78 season.

Michael Gash marked his home debut with two goals, while Keith Briggs' first of the season and a stunning free kick from Danny Pilkington cancelled out Adam Cunnington's early opener.

Pilkington had been brought back into the starting line-up along with James Vincent in place of the injured Martin Devaney and suspended Kyle Storer respectively.

As is often the case Tamworth came to frustrate Harriers, doing their best to stop them from playing and largely succeeding in the first half hour. The Lambs took the lead in the fifth minute; Harriers failed to clear a throw from the left and Cunnington pounced to fire past Danny Lewis.

Harriers drew level ten minutes from the break; Briggs pouncing on the rebound when Lee Vaughan's shot was blocked. Once they were back on terms Harriers began to exert themselves and took the lead in stoppage time, Pilkington's free-kick arcing over the wall and inside Tony Breeden's right-hand post.

Michael Gash claimed his second goal in as many games ten minutes into the second half when he turned in Josh Gowling's header from close range.  Just past the hour mark Harriers could have added to their advantage; Briggs made a strong run through the inside-left channel before setting up substitute Ryan Rowe who saw his shot tipped over the bar by the former Harriers keeper Breeden.

The best move of the game culminated in Harriers' fourth goal seven minutes from time; Briggs and Vincent combined to set Vaughan away on the right, his cross to the far post was met by the head of Gash.
