Match Report by St@tto

Harriers moved level on points with leaders Wrexham following their 16th win in 18 games.

For once the Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards didn't prove to be cursed as Harriers recorded a seventh win in-a-row, with Anthony Malbon scoring again to take his current streak to seven goals in six games.

Steve Burr changed the team around again; bringing in Greg Pearson for his first start following the return to Macclesfield of Amari Morgan-Smith, while Keith Briggs and James Vincent came back in in midfield.

Despite their lowly league position Ebbsfleet gave Harriers an early scare with Toby Alabi shooting narrowly wide after just five minutes. United took the lead seven minutes later, Dammy Shitta's shot parried by Danny Lewis but not with enough strength to prevent the ball from looping over the goal line.

Harriers hit back straight away, Vincent firing in from close range after Marvin Johnson's cross caused confusion in the visitors' goalmouth.

After the interval Harriers stepped up a gear and began to take control of the match; Pearson headed against the angle of post and bar just a minute after the break and Kyle Storer fired across the face of goal before Harriers took the lead on the hour.

Malbon took advantage of hesitation in the United defence to roll the ball into the unguarded net from a narrow angle. Harriers created a number of other goalscoring chances with Lee Vaughan firing wide and Malbon heading wide before appearing to make the game safe three minutes from the end; substitutes Ryan Rowe and Callum Gittings combining for the latter to fire in his first goal of the season from the edge of the penalty area.

In stoppage time Ebbsfleet set up a nervy ending to the game when Josh Gowling brought down Nathan Elder to concede a penalty that Elder himself took and scored.
