Preview: New Year Local Derby
Harriers entertain their former tenants this afternoon in a quick return of the fixture played on Boxing Day.
Having played out a goalless draw at Bromsgrove's Victoria Ground Harriers will be looking to return to winning ways after seeing their six-game winning streak ended by their upstart neighbours.
John Eustace has a full squad to choose from again today; Ryan Croasdale was sent off at Bromsgrove but his suspension doesn't begin until tomorrow wo he will be able to take part and will instead miss next weekend's trip to Salford. The manager could make a number of changes to the squad, though, as all of the players who have been out on loan are now back at the club, at least until they get sent out again.
Like Croasdale Sam Oji is available after being sent-off on Boxing Day but former Harrier Danny Jackman is an injury doubt after being substituted before the break on Boxing Day with a back injury. Also doubtful with injury are Micah Evans and another former Harrier Tom Sharpe.
I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-3-3): Hornby; Williams, Francis-Angol, Lowe, Tunnicliffe; Croasdale, McQuilkin, Ngwatala; Waite, Dieseruvwe, Gnahoua.
Subs (from): Austin, A. Brown, J. Brown, Carter, Clarke, Digie, Forsyth, Hancocks, Knights, Palmer, Sho-Silva, Sweeney, Taylor, Thomas, Truslove.
Missing (injured): Hodgkiss.
This afternoon's referee will be Danny Middleton from Derbyshire. This will be his second time in charge of a Harriers first team game having done the game against FC United earlier this season.
The weather, which is currently wet, is forecast to be less wet by kick-off time with a 55% chance of rain and a temperature of 5°C.
