Preview: Harriers v Gainsborough Trinity
Harriers return to Aggborough this afternoon after four games on the road with the visit of Gainsborough Trinity.
After slipping out of the play-off places with defeat at Halifax last weekend Harriers need to bounce back with victory over a Gainsborough side who, like Harriers, have not scored for two games.
John Eustace has to make at least one change to the side as Tyrone Williams sits out the game through suspension following his sending-off at The Shay. The manager has limited options at the moment; skipper Keith Lowe could move to full back to cover for Williams with Ashley Carter moving into the middle provided that Zaine Francis-Angol is fit enough to return. Alternatively there could be surprise inclusion in the shape of Richard Sho-Silva whose loan at Halesowen was due to end this week and wasn't mentioned as being renewed unlike Kennedy Digie who will remain there for another month. One player who will not feature is Robert Stambolziev who had his contract cancelled by mutual consent earlier this week.
Gainsborough currently sit in 15th place on 19 points and have won just one of their last five games and one the road have four defeats in the last five also. In defeat against Chorley and Stockport in their last two games they have failed to score. Trinity have some experience in their squad with players such as goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge and defender Adam Quinn who Harriers have encountered on a number of occasions previously.
Harriers and Trinity have not met previously although when the club went under the name of 'Kidderminster' after the brief amalgamation of Harriers and Olympic the clubs were in the Midland League together in the 1890/91 season. Kidderminster pulled out of the league and their record was expunged while Gainsborough went on to become champions.
I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-3-3): Hornby; Lowe, Francis-Angol, Tunnicliffe, Carter; Croasdale, McQuilkin, Ngwatala; Waite, Dieseruvwe, Gnahoua.
Subs (from): Austin, A. Brown, Palmer, Truslove.
Missing (injured): Hodgkiss.
Missing (suspended): Williams.
Missing (on-loan): J. Brown, Clarke, Digie, Forsyth, Hancocks, Sho-Silva, Sweeney, Taylor, Thomas.
Referee this afternoon is Anthony Tankard from Sheffield. This will be his second Harriers game having done the draw at Boston earlier this season.
This afternoon's weather is forecast to be partly cloudy with a temperature of 6°C and a 5% chance of rain.
