Preview: Stockport County v Harriers

Harriers face a tough encounter this afternoon when they play the second of four consecutive away matches.

Having got back into the play-off places with midweek victory at Harrogate, Harriers could get as high as third with a win at Edgeley Park this afternoon.

Harriers may name an unchanged starting eleven but will have to make at least one change on the bench as Wayne Thomas has joined league rivals Altrincham on loan for a month to get some game time.  Also moving out of Aggborough are George Forsyth who joins Rushall Olympic on loan for a month and Nathan Millichamp who has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.  Manager John Eustace will also be without Jared Hodgkiss again through injury but Elton Ngwatala is close to fitness and could possibly feature.

Stockport currently sit in ninth place in the league, four points behind Harriers, and are in decent form at the moment with just one defeat in the last five games and three in the last ten.  Last time out they won by the only goal of the game at Chorley, following on from another derby victory over Salford.

The last time the sides met Harriers ran out 4-0 winners as County were relegation from the National League, two goals from Anthony Malbon, plus strikes from Chey Dunkley and Martin Devaney gave Harriers the win.  In the four games played between the clubs have one win and a draw, with both games at Edgeley Park ending in County wins.

I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-3-3): Hornby; Williams, Francis-Angol, Lowe, Tunnicliffe; Croasdale, McQuilkin, Truslove; Waite, Dieseruvwe, Gnahoua.
Subs (from): Austin, Brown, Carter, Clarke, Palmer, Stambolziev.
Missing (injured): Hodgkiss, Ngwatala.
Missing (on-loan): J. Brown, Digie, Forsyth, Hancocks, Sho-Silva, Sweeney, Taylor, Thomas.

Referee today will be David McNamara from Preston who will be taking charge of a Harriers game for the first time.

The weather forecast for kick-off time predicts that it will be cloudy with a temperature of 14°C and a 5% chance of rain.
