Harriers cruised to a second big win over Tamworth in the space of four days to progress in the FA Cup. Having already beaten them 6-0 in the league, Harriers carried on from where they left off, quickly taking control of the tie. Just six minutes were on the clock when Harriers worked a short corner routine on the left, Arthur Gnahoua and Zaine Francis-Angol combining to set up Elton Ngwatala to sweep the ball past James Belshaw. Five minutes Harriers doubled their advantage; Tamworth again failing to deal with a Gnahoua corner from the left and Mani Dieseruvwe was on hand at the far post to stab the ball in. By the 19th minute the tie was effectively over as Harriers had further increased their lead, Gnahoua's pass setting up Dieseruvwe for his second, and sixth of the season, with a shot that Belshaw will have been very disappointed not to have kept out. More dominant play by Harriers just past the half hour mark could have seen them further ahead after good work between Dieseruvwe, Ngwatala and Gnahoua on the left saw the latter's angled shot deflect away for a corner. After the interval Gnahoua joined Dieseruvwe on six goals for the season latching on to Dieseruvwe's flick on and slotting a shot under Belshaw at this near post. Harriers were comfortably in control of the game and could have repeated the score from earlier in the week; Tyrone Williams and substitutes Liam Truslove, Robert Stambolziev and Sam Austin all went close. Sam Hornby was eventually called into action in the closing minutes of the game saving first from one-time Harriers trialist Greg Mills and Danny Newton. |
