Match Report by St@tto

Jack Byrne's second-half goal gave Harriers their first away win of the season.

Harriers made two changes to the side that had thrown away a two-goal lead against Chester last time out, bringing in Jamie Grimes for the suspended Chey Dunkley and Aman Verma in place of Callum Gittings.

The game was largely uninspiring, though, with little goalmouth action at either end.  Harriers' best chance of the opening half fell to Nathan Blissett after being set up by Byrne but he fired his shot just wide while at the other end Nathan Elder headed over when well placed to score.

Five minutes after the interval Harriers broke the deadlock; Byrne controlled Kyle Storer's long pass with his chest before poking the ball past Mitch Walker in the home goal.

Midway through the half skipper Josh Gowling headed over from Kevin Nicholson's corner, spurning a good chance to double the advantage.  Dover felt that they should have had a penalty late on but their claims for a foul on Christian Nanetti fell on deaf ears.

In stoppage time Harriers had one last chance for another goal but Nicholson's free-kick bent around the wall was pushed away by Walker for a corner.
