Match Report by St@tto

Harriers completed their second double of the season with a 3-2 win over Cambridge that was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.

An eleventh win in 13 games helped move Harriers up to fourth place in the Conference, and had United not scored a late goal Harriers would have been third.

Amari Morgan-Smith came in for his debut, with fellow loan signing Nathaniel Jarvis on the bench. Danny Lewis made his 100th appearance for the club.

Harriers dominated the game throughout but didn't make a breakthrough until the 26th minute when Chey Dunkley bundled the ball in from close range from Anthony Malbon's low cross from the right after United had failed to clear a corner properly.  Morgan-Smith blasted a good chance over the bar after being set up by Malbon's back-heel on 28 minutes.

At the other end Harrison Dunk fired wide from the edge of the penalty area following a good run through the inside-left channel before Marvin Johnson doubled the advantage racing on to Lee Vaughan's cross-field pass before despatching a shot beyond the reach of Craig Ross.

United got back into the game three minutes before the interval when Josh Gowling inadvertently diverted the ball past Lewis when trying to clear Luke Berry's header. Harriers restored their two-goal advantage five minutes into the second half, Malbon outpacing the visiting defence before slotting the ball under Ross to record his first goal since October.

Harriers created further chances to increase their lead, most notably for Malbon who headed wide from Kyle Storer's left wing corner on the hour and then, five minutes after that, Danny Pilkington who saw his shot from 20 yards tipped round the post for a corner by Ross. Michael Gash headed in a for Cambridge from Dunk's left-wing cross with a minute to go to make the scoreline closer than United's performance merited.
