Match Report
A sparkling performance from Harriers was rewarded with a four goal show, destroying sorry York and leaving the travelling support calling for the head of manager Terry Dolan.

Harriers started the game with the 4-3-3 formation that has looked the most promising in the last two games and also brought in French defender Abdou Sall for his debut in place of the injured Adie Smith and Mark Shail. In an indication of their attacking intent, Harriers alson named three strikers on the bench in addition to the three who began the game.

From the start Harriers attacked and it was obvious that there were goals to be scored as the visitors' defence was very shaky. Mark Blake almost opened the scoring with a chip which was headed off the line by Chris Smith, and Colin Larkin and Dean Bennett were also foiled by veteran keeper Alan Fettis before Harriers went ahead.

Good work by Dean Bennett near the right corner flag fed Ian Foster who whipped his cross to the far post and Drewe Broughton rose highest and headed in his first goal of the season.

Harriers continued to throw men forward but the Minstermen stuck doggedly to their task even though they were clearly the inferior team. Broughton went close again, volleying wide from a Larkin cross and he also saw Fettis save two more of his shots. York were rewarded in the last minute of the half, Michael Proctor manged to get a low cross in from the left despite a good challenge from Sall and Nogan slipped in unmarked at the far post to slot the ball home. Questions will be asked about the defending that allowed him to be there.

Fortunately, Harriers didn't let their heads drop when they came out for the second half and carried on in the same fashion as they had played the first. Four minutes were all that were needed for the lead to be restored, debutant Abdou Sall rising at the far post and scoring with a bullett header from Danny Williams' corner. The rest of the team struggled to catch him as he ran back towards the bench in celebration.

Harriers were riding on the crest of a wave and before anyone could take breath, Ian Foster had broken free on the left and curled a shot inside the far post for his first goal of the season. York were now out of the game, but they battled on bravely and almost pulled a goal back when Stuart Brock just got a hand to Proctor's rasping, dipping shot.

Sall was making his presence known with some crucial aerial interceptions and vital tackles, and he was involved in the fourth goal. His pass set Colin Larkin free and although Fettis parried his shot, Broughton was following up to tuck in the rebound.

Harriers made a triple substituion with twelve minutes remaining and hand a debut to 17 year-old Matt Lewis, and he soon made himself known with a powerful shot that Fettis did well to keep out. Harriers saw out time with more possesion but could not find a fifth goal, to the satisfaction of Fettis who had clearly had enough long before the Fourth Official held up the board to signify five minutes of stoppage time.

Kiddeminster were well worth their victory, equalling their best winning margin in the Football League and scoring four for the first time.
