Match Report
Disapppointment for Kidderminster as their brief revival is ended before it had begun. Torrential rain fell for most of the game, spoiling it as a spectacle in the later stages.

The game started quite brightly, both teams playing at a high pace and trading attacks. Macclesfield almost took an early lead when Clarke allowed Glover's header to slip through his grap and roll toward the line before gathering it at the second attempt. At the other end Kidderminster created a string of chances but rarely troubled Lee Martin in the home goal. Dreadful defending gifted The Silkmen their goal, Harriers defence going missing leaving on loan midfielder Chris Shuker, of Manchester City, to head in.

After the break Harriers' heads dropped, the late goal clearly knocking them out of their stride. They managed to dominate possession for the rest of the match but they never threatened to equalise, it was as if all of the Harriers attackers were afraid to take responsibilty and risk a shot at goal.
