Match Report |
After a dismal run of eight games without victory, Kidderminster
turn on the style to earn a well-deserved win over Shrewsbury, gaining
revenge for the defeat at Gay Meadow two games previously.
Kidderminster started with purpose, surprisingly with Craig Hinton deployed in the centre of midfield and Adie Smith back from injury in the heart of the defence. Before opening the scoring late in the first half, John Durnin could have broken the deadlock when he had a good chance but volleyed wide. Durnin was having a great game and created the second goal when Craig Hinton deflected his long range free kick. Shrewsbury rarely threatened, their besst spell came in the ten minutes after they hd pulled a goal back, but Kidderminster stood firm and soaked up the pressure before deservedly grabbing a late third goal. |
